Roon Seems to be adding Genres

My Apologies if this has been discussed, but could not find the answer to this question: I am going thru my catalog and changing some Genres. I have checked Use Genre From Roon and Use Genres from file tags. When I adjust an album and add or remove a few genre tags, it seems that when I look at the album a day later, Roon has added tags back. Is there a way to prevent that? I love some of Roon’s genre suggestions, but once I set an album with the genres I like, I would like it to stay that way on an Album.

Can you please share a few screenshots of the file tags you have and the genres you’re seeing in Roon?

Attached are 2 screenshots, but my main question is: if I have checked “Use Genre From Roon” and “Use Genres from file tags” and I make some Genre changes to an album, deleting a few tags, does that stick or will Roon add them back in at some point. I did set Alabama to “Rock” and “Rock & Roll” last night and most of the ones I unchecked came back. Is that possible or am I loosing my mind?

Hi @Ron_Horwitz,

Roon shouldn’t be adding genres back to an album after you’ve remove them using the Edit screen. Can you try to make the changes again and:

• Take a screenshot of the album post-edit
• If you see it revert again, share another screenshot with us post-revert
