I definitely don’t want to argue or be in any way combative.
My original comment was intended to steer anyone new to tagging in the direction which my experience (humbly, I hope) tells me is most likely to offer the most flexible and productive outcomes, given Yate’s extremely comprehensive feature set. Yate’s Actions feature, for example, means that the software can do almost anything which isn’t already available from the ‘built-in’ menus (and that’s not much!)
Each program has its merits; I too wish you luck with SongKong (which I also have, thanks!). But because Yate does everything which I think most of us here could ever want in terms of tagging, has been around for some time, is well documented - and so is used by many (here) I ventured the term ‘standard’.
