I agree, probably not what users in search for a separate Roon Server download may stumble upon.

The specific Release Note others referred to in this thread is most-likely this one:
PS: There is a sentence in the second document that currently reads: “Wherever you run Roon Server, you can configure and control your setup by installing Roon on Windows or Mac, or by installing Roon Remote on iOS and Android.”
So the second part of the sentence has now become wrong as “Roon Remote” is no more:
So should now be: “Wherever you run Roon Server, you can configure and control your setup by installing Roon on Windows, Mac, iOS or Android.”
The download page also still mentions “Roon Remote”:
