Roon Server non-functional after resume from sleep

I’m using Roon server (on a PC with Win 10) in conjunction with the iPad app and an ID41 card as the endpoint.

After resume from standy (S3) on the PC, the iPad app connects OK but nothing will stream. Restarting Roon Server fixes the issue but this is a pain. As a workaround, I have added a task to restart Roon Server on resume from sleep.

Anyone else have this problem on a PC?

I think some people have done similar. Most either turn the server off/on or leave it 24/7. Personally, I start and stop my server as I never ever let any Windows machine go into sleep.or hibernate mode. Too many issues.

Logitech Media Server has no such issues, so I don’t see why Roon can’t behave similarly. 24/7 running or stop\start are not acceptable options for me.

While my fix works, I hope a solution can be found soon.

I agree. I also got a lot of problem when I start the computer from stand-by. It is important that the sleep-mode works and that is possibly to wake it from sleep with the iPad app with a “magic package”. I have equipment in my network that sends requests to the computer to try to wake it up therefore I use “magic package” to prevent it to wake up when I don’t want it.
