Roon server on Ubuntu 16.04.3 failed occasionally

Hi,

I am running Roon server on Ubuntu server 16.04.3, and sometimes the server will stopped running. From syslog, I noticed these messages:

Jan  7 17:43:59 RoonServer kernel: [    4.920509] EXT4-fs (dm-0): re-mounted. Opts: errors=remount-ro
Jan 7 17:43:59 RoonServer kernel: [ 5.054557] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-8000C-19.ucode failed with error -2
Jan 7 17:43:59 RoonServer kernel: [ 5.054574] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-8000C-18.ucode failed with error -2
Jan 7 17:43:59 RoonServer kernel: [ 5.054587] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-8000C-17.ucode failed with error -2

Is this something I need to be concerned? If yes, how to fix that?

Thanks,

Looks like kernels and or driver issues.
Do you have the latest upgrades in place?
(I.e. did you run “sudo apt-get update -y && sudo apt-get distracted-upgrade -y” recently?

Looks like you have the LTS version in place rather than the latest version of Ubuntu server, 17.10.
Maybe consider to switch to 17.10.

try another kernel, agree with that

seems to be a WiFi Card driver issue
