Roon stops and starts

Thank you for your post and we’re sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing issues. The team has activated diagnostic mode for your account to generate a log report of failure events associated with your Roon account that reach our servers.

RoonServer is reporting that software on the host machine is forcibly closing its connection. If your network topology and settings haven’t changed beyond regular router firmware updates, then I would verify whether any antivirus software or firewalls on the RoonServer machine might be interfering. You’ll need to add all the Roon executables to the Windows firewall exception list if you haven’t already.

If the above isn’t helpful, then we’ll want to continue troubleshooting for vulnerabilities in the network. Please provide a timestamp of when the next dropout or restart of Roon occurs. The more precise the description, the faster we can isolate the variable causing the behavior.
