I’m building a new Roon server with upgraded hardware and using Docker images instead of a bare metal install (which I have now; debian9/headless)
Docker is totally new to me so it would be helpful as part of the build/troubleshooting process to be able to test the new server via the Roon GUI (to see if I’ve mounted the /Music drive correctly in the container and to see if the container can correctly see my NAS for example)
Now I could create a whole new free trial account and do it that way, but it seems a bit of a pfaff and a bit disingenuous if I have no intention of using it long term
If I were able to use my current (lifetime) login credentials on the new test server it would save all that, but I’m guessing that would be difficult or impossible
Can I get a test environment up and running without create a new account?
You can actually use you existing on multiple servers, but not at the same time. When testing your new system, authorize the new system and deauthorize the previous one. You can move back and forth if needed.
