Roon / ultrarendu / Oppo BDP-105D Converting to PCM [Resolved]

Hello:

I just purchased a Sonore ultrarendu a couple of days ago and connected it to the USB Asynchronous DAC in the back of my Oppo BDP-105D. Ethernet is provided by a Netgear Powerline Adapter which appears to be providing a reliable signal.

I am using the Oppo’s Analog Stereo outputs from the Oppo into my preamp.

Using roon to play my files, I am able to successfully play FLAC files up to 24bit 192khz with a lossless signal path. However DSD64 and DSD128 files are being converted to PCM 352.8khz format. But, I understand that the Oppo should not require conversion of these formats.

I have the Oppo’s SACD output setting configured for ‘DSD’ and HDMI Audio is set to ‘Off’.

My music files are stored on an external Thunderbolt drive connected to my Macbook Pro (i7 processor, 16GB RAM) running Mac Sierra OS v10.12.6.

I am attaching several screen captures hoping that might help in diagnosing the problem.

Any suggestions for resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

– Kevin

Issue resolved.

Jesus from Sonore advised me to configure the ultrarendu’s RoonReady setting for DOP instead of DSD.

DSD64 and DSD128 are on a lossless signal path now.

Quick response and great support especially on a weekend.

Thanks, Jesus!
