RoonReady - What does this mean in this case?

What does this mean in practice?
Does Roon still have work to do in this case, or is it Aurender that still needs to do something?
Aurender indicates that it will take until February 2026 before it is RoonReady.
I’ve had the N50 for six months by then.
I was able to use Roon during the first month before this message appeared in Roon.
Normally, nothing at all appears in Audio if it’s not RoonReady, right?

Probably both. Roon Labs will run certification tests on a device that claims to be Roon Ready, but if issues are found, then it’s down to the device manufaturer to fix them.

I would expect that you can still use the N50 in Roon via either AirPlay or Chromecast, since I believe that both these protocols are supported by the N50…

No, neither. I read now that Roon really needs to study the N50.

Manufacturers are responsible for gaining Roon Ready certification. Roon does not charge for this service, and manufacturers (or their resellers) should not announce Roon Ready until it is granted and listed in the Partner pages.

If you think the device should be Roon Ready, you may need a firmware update. Alternatively, the device may currently be going through certification.

Not sure where you got your information, but there’s a lot of misimformation out there.

Yesterday I got this e-mail:

So, as I said earlier…

It takes two to tango.
