RooPlay and PhonoPre

Hello

I am looking for a PhonoPre that works with RooPlay. Is there a list of compatible devices? I have been looking at the UnisonResearch Uphono+. Would that be something? Any recommendations from you?

I’m sure @DrCWO will be along soon, and I expect many phono amps with ADC and USB connectivity will work.

One option I know works because I use it (and I think is also used by DrCWO) is the RME ADI 2/4 Pro SE.

This is a very high quality ADC/DAC - but is unusual in that it does the RIAA equalisation in the digital domain, rather than using analog circuitry before the ADC.

But the RME only works with MM cartridges?

I use mine with a moving coil cartridge and a step-up transformer (EAR in my case), although that adds to the cost.

It sounds better than what I used before.
