Ropieee / Allo DigiOne dropping off network

Hi there,

Thanks for all the work on Ropieee, which I love. I’ve got two installations. One using an Allo Digione HAT, and one using a Boss Dac 1.2. The Boss Dac endpoint is rock solid and works perfectly all the time.

The DigiOne is intermittently dropping off the network, which seems to make no sense. After a powercycle it reappears, works well for a bit and then drops again. I’ve submitted feedback: 7f53e64e6ce725d0

Any clues? My home Wifi is good and very stable indeed.

Thank you!

I use a DigiOne on a RP4 too. And today when I went to listen, the Zone no longer appears.

In Roon >settings> audio tab, the Ropieeexl device appears, but shows “device not found” the zone itself is not present in the audio zone selection list.

@spockfish - I do think there’s some weirdness with the ALLO DigiOne compatibility and the latest build!

Happy to help as needed!

Ah jeez. I just forced a restart and now the zone is appearing correctly. I’ll continue to monitor. Maybe the only problem is requiring an extra restart.

Yup. That’s the strange behaviour. Drops out and then reappears after a power cycle.
Mmmm…

I’m back! Now Ropieee consistently displays as “DEVICE NOT FOUND” in the Roon Audio tab since the .10 update. Even when I restart the device; doesn’t recover in Roon.

Over the past week track changes had been oddly slow. I was assuming it was my NAS, but Roon Arc loads and skips track perfectly fine ; and that’s over a public cellular network, not personal LAN!

Something is up here with the Allo Digione hat and this Roon build.

Can you send feedback?

i’m on the beta channel, but i’m also using an allo digione and have noticed what seems like more frequent issues with it after daily scheduled reboots … in my case, manually rebooting again brings it back

EXACTLY!

Had the issue even with the former 09 version and disabled the daily reboots: all is fine since over two weeks. When enabled, the device disappears and ropieee url is not accessible @spockfish
