Ropieee and Protodac randomly not initialized

Hello,
I use Ropieee with Protodac https://moodeaudio.org/
The problem is that Protodac is randomly not recognized / initialized.
Hardware / software reboot solves the issue until next random start.

@spockfish Can you please help with diagnosis?

Did you ever get this problem solved? I wanted to try this same combination soon.

Unfortunatelly no. No support from @spockfish. No idea is this hardware or software related.

Can you send me feedback?

Hi @spockfish feedback log c8afa0d61166679b

Well,

Nothing special to report from the logs, except that indeed RAAT (Roon) warns about not being able to open the device. However, the logs show that the audio device is present. So essentially you have a very basic setup, which should work.

could be that there’s something wrong with the hardware, and although the audio device is present the software is not able to open it.

could also be a software issue (on the Linux side), although I’ll doubt it. You could do a ‘quick’ test with the latest beta release, as this has the latest LInux LTS kernel (6.6) on board.

Thanks

Hi,
Problem still exists even with newest beta version. What’s interesting - after update or reflash issue disappears for some time. Replacing dac chip didn’t help also.
Please help.
