RoPieee and recording audio

I use RoPieee on a raspberrypi 3 with an IQaudIO DAC HAT on it

Has anyone been able to also install some audio recording software alongside RiPeee?

This is an interesting subject! I use a USBPre 2 from Sound Devices as DAC, but this device is also an ADC. As the name suggests it connects via USB. I could connect a phono cartridge to it’s MIC inputs (or something else to a line input) and send this as a radio station to Roon - or record the signal to a file. Either way @spockfish would have to provide the functions in Ropieee as any separate install would most likely be wiped on updates and certainly on flashing the SD card.
