Hi folks, I have recently set up a rp4b with the official touchscreen, everything works fine apart from the timezone, it’s default setting is Amsterdam, I’m in the UK, therfore when the screen saver clock appears it’s a hour out for me, I’ve tried to set it to London, GB etc but I just keep getting a message above the host name " Match the requested format"
I know it’s a small issue, but anybody have a idea what the problem is, thank you.
I cannot replicate your error on RPI3 with RoPieeeXL 2023.07 (1041) with a normal webbrowser interface: I can use your long name (ropieee/NUC etc…) for the host and change time.
I just got it sorted…typed in “ropiee” and it seems to have done the trick…strange one.
I suspect that the slash was causing a problem.
no the slash was not causing the problem, maybe hidden correction keystorkes?
You cannot use slashes in hostnames. I also advise (although it is allowed) to not use spaces as well.
