i think it wold be very useful to be able to run roon in a previous, stable software version in cases of significant errors.
this way, an afflicted user could still run roon with the stable version. when the software would be fixed by the roon developers, he (she) could then upgrade.
why its needed##
i am a big fan of roon 
. but since the software is quite new and a lot of developments are happening, it is also not totally stable. i think a significant number of users are experiencing problems when upgrading the software.
how it could be done
at the settings level, there could be the option, to automatically upgrade the software (default) or not.
when its needed to run the software in a previous version, the roon DB from the previous version should then logically work with this previous version.
