SACD ripping with Oppo or Pioneer

I’d ask in the Hydrogen Audio forums, or over at CA. Someone’s bound to know how to get into them.

I’d be quite surprised if you can’t do a disk image somehow. They have data on after all… Good luck!

It does seem odd. Thanks for checking!

I found this thread on Hifi Haven showing how to do it, with a list of players able to rip the discs. I’ve got 200+ SACDs to rip and just got a Sony BDP-S4100 today to do it with.

In case you have not made it to page 4 of the HiFi Haven thread, I posted a distilled version of the process for Sony players there. Just the essential steps that I use. Works a treat.

Hi, hope this thread is kinda alive …
I just downloaded the Sonore and files on the dropbox server.
My usb is correctly formatted, when inserted into my oppp bdp103, the tray opens.
When I ask the Sonore interface to execute at the Oppo’s IP address… nothing happens.

Any idea on what the scrap might be?

Not sure what you’re running the Sonore GUI on, but maybe check to make sure your java app has lan access and isn’t blocked by your OS’ firewall.

It’s also well possible you need a newer version of the sacd_extract binary that is called from the Sonore GUI; are you running this on a Mac perchance?

Found the issue.
Needed to add the sacd files on the same folder and do the change directory.

All is running smoothly now!

Thx for the support!
