Sata SSD Disk for Roon Nucleus One

Which Sata SSD Disk do you recommend for installation in the Roon Nucleus One?
Thanks for the exact description including type number.

Hopefully Roon with be along shortly with an official answer.

In the meantime the usual recommendation is a Samsung QVO in whatever size you need.

Samsung make good drives with decent warranties (they replaced one of mine for free after 4.5 years!) - and the QVO has higher capacity than the other drive technologies for the same price.

The downside of the QVO is that it has a shorter lifetime if written to a lot - but for media storage your writes will be very few (compared to an OS drive) - so it is no disadvantage. This has been Roon’s previous recommendation.

Hallo Greg
Thank you for your helpful information!
So I will install a Samsung QVO
I have another question. Is there a sound difference between the Nucleus One and the Titan when operating as a NAS (on the network) if the internal DSP is disabled on both devices?
Kind regards Beat

When I built my NUC I couldn’t get the Samsung SSD that I wanted , I used a Crucial 4tB SSD which had been trouble free. I am not sure of the model no but 3 yrs ago it’s probably changed
