Roon must be the craziest piece of software I have ever seen. How can I search tidal and play a song without it searching my local library and playing from there. When I search it is like tidal doesn’t even exist. It is completely bizarre to me. TIA
It’s designed to integrate the local files with streaming. The most common complaint about integration is that it finds Tidal rather than a local file, you are definitely an outlier here. 
If you have it locally why play it from Tidal in the first place? That aside Roon has a fully integrated search and why the majority use Roon users choose it over other software that silos the music services into their own sections. It’s the fully integrated nature and that it’s agnostic as to where it’s from that make Roon unique . You can search for any title you want and you will have the equivalent from Tidal and Qobuz versions available in the versions tab and all your own versions to boot.
