Sometimes when I click the magnifying glass the search field opens, but then closes immediatly. I may have to click ten times to get it to stay long enough to write something. Happes randomly it seems. First I thought it was just under higher cpu-load but it happens under normal use too…

Are you using a trackpad or Apple Magic Mouse? If so, you might find that you are making a small movement. It seems like they have eliminated the most significant case of this, but it’s possible you’re seeing an older, known issue. Try being super careful to not make any pointer movement once you’ve brought up the search box.
