Describe the issue

I have an audio desktop system with Goat products using Roon exclusively via SonicOrbiter and a Sonore Optical Rendu Deluxe. I also have a TV room setup with an Ethernet cable to my network. Is there a simple way to stream Roon without getting another streamer. Perhaps an Ethernet to USB adaptor. Looking for a reasonable solution without having to buy a 2nd streamer. Is this possible? Thanks

Describe your network setup

Fiber optic router into a Sonore Optical Rendu Deluxe. Network is connected to Small Green Computer I9 running Linux and has the Roon core on it running on SonicOrbiter. Performs flawlessly.

What other components in the TV room? Maybe something in the TV room can serve as an endpoint for Roon? Like a blueray player (oppo 205 is what I use).

If not, a RasberryPi running ropieee would serve as an endpoint. It’s still a peice of gear to buy, though.

Or, do you have an old computer or tablet that can run roon to serve as an endpoint?

The short answer is you need a streamer or a Roon capable device. I’ve got a Sonos Beam in my TV room that serves as a Roon endpoint. Let us know what audio you have in your TV room and we can figure out a cheap way to connect to Roon.

I have an old original nucleus in a closet. Thats it. I run Roon on an I9 Linux Small Green Computer via Sonicorbiter. What id rather not do is run two Roon cores. If I can connect the Nucleus as a streamer only accessing Sonicorbiter, that would be ideal
