Setting up backup to Synology NAS

Just for testing you could set up a new share on the NAS and try to set up a backup location with that. Maybe it jogs some memory or you stumble over something enlightening

I am guessing the NAS is refusing the connections. The error messages in this screen are often quite vague. Maybe log into the NAS and re-do the share.

Thanks guys. Nothing should have changed in the NAS. There are backups from yesterday which suggests it’s ok but I’ll check again

Or maybe have a look at the log files, they might contain a better error description?

Update: If it is the NAS that blocks the connection, there should be a trace in its logs too.

Opened like a charm. No clue why IP address didn’t take :slight_smile:
