The Bass in God is a Woman (Ariana Grande), Dancing With a Stranger (Sam Smith) and Magic (Kylie Minogue) …are… SUBLIME with the Black Limba’s and the iFi iDSD on normal gain @ 1 o’clock on the volume dial! This is how POP music should sound. MAGIC. :yum Loud in yer face and thumping.
That’s where type 1 or 2 woods truly rock! Type 4 Wild Chechen can’t compete with the kick, power and warmth of the Type 1 Black Limba where you just wanna feel da bass… and that’s without flicking the xBass or 3D switch on the Amp. Type 4 with the xBass come close to the Type 1 but still lacking a little warmth. They are still great though for rock or more complex music, or Jazz where you need a little more articulation in the bass.

I Auditioned the Diablo, loved it too but Signature is a little warmer sounding and matched the TH610 beautifully! Im sure you’d love it. (either of them really)
Not using the BIG screen because Im moving about the house and between the comfy leather chair and the PC. Love having the portability around the house with soooo much powahhhh on tap in tidy neat form factor. Am loving the short camera cable to the iPad mini… just perfect!

Hi everyone!
In April 2020, I posted my Roon based set up here for the first time. Now, I’ll describe a major update in the analog and digital sections of my stereo system… Just added a Rega Planar 8 and an i9 computer. So, now my HQ Player is processing DSD 512!
But the main update was the arrival of the new Audiopax Mandolin Ceramik Floorstanders! I’m really, very impressed by these state-of-the-art loudspeakers! 
They and look like a very refined musical instrument - made of real wood -, and they sound amazing! Great resolution, stereo imaging and instrument separation. Tight bass, incredibly natural vocals, and realistic instrument reproduction!
I couldn´t be more excited!

I spent more seconds than I care to admit to worrying how you put the hard top on without damaging the screen or kit until it occurred to me it was missing a back as well as a bottom, or I assume so.

That’s correct, no back or bottom so it’s easy to slide it on/off when needed.

Thanks! To be clear: this is the version with a separate “Exaktbox” including 10 dacs - one for each speaker channel - and separate power amplification for each channel. The speakers are the passive version of the Akubarik.

A few years ago I crept around this loudspeaker like a cat around a rabbit, but in the end my natural stinginess won out - and since then I have owned a pair of good, but optically not very impressive Focal Electra 1038 BEs…

Did a little bit of shopping the last couple of months to upgrade (side-grade?) our bedroom setup. Got the NAD C 338 for its built-in Chromecast but found out that RPi4 to Topping E30 to NAD sounded better. If I could do it all over, I would have gone for the C 328 or the C 316BEE V2 instead. But that built-in Spotify Connect might be useful when Spotify HiFi becomes available. 
I would still get the Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 speakers though. They are amazing! I feel like upgrading to a better amp in the future could really make the Elacs sing. I tried it in the living room with the old Kenwood amp with 80 wpc and they’re just fabulous.
