Sounds great and looks fabulous in your setup.
I plan to audition a couple of all in ones next year and that and the Evo 150 and the Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 are almost certainly on the shortlist
This is my primary listening room for Roon. McIntosh MC 462 amplifier; McIntosh CS 2700 tube preamplifier (I am awaiting delivery and installation of the McIntosh MEN220 room correction system); Auralic GS 1 streamer; Cambridge Audio CD transport; revel Performa 3 228BE speakers; REL S-510 subwoofer; Clarus Crimson an Aqua cables. I also configured my room so I can play it through my 7.2 channel Martin Logan Edge series in wall speakers you can see here although I prefer to listen through the McIntosh Revel 2 channel combination. My Roon core is a nucleus plus which is hooked up directly to my lux switch in my basement
Fantastic work! Yeah, would be great to have the plans for the future
Hi Claus,
what a nice set you have, compliments !
I have also just purchased the Innous zen MK 3 and also use a Hugo 2 as the DAC…like yourselves. Based on your experience. What set up do you recommend in order to maximize MQA playback ?
Any other user advice is welcome … e.g. what’s best using it as roon core. endpoint or experimental mode
Thanks in advance !

Have you done the Edcor 4400 Mod to your DS? I suggest you consider that before you go to an external streamer.
Hi, I am new to Roon’s World, here’s my minimalist setup.
Intel NUC + Rock + external SSD
Auralic Aries Mini
Topping D90 MQA / A90
Krell KAV 400xi
Sonus Faber Concertino Domus
Thanks for that , its on my wish list as well, I have a CXN v1 at present but am limited to a soundbar by AUX (WAF looks for the lounge).
Have you tried the EVO with headphones yet. I am using a pair of Sennheiser HD800 ie 300 ohm
Anyone any experience ?
Good looking setup. How big is that room?
Mike, the room is 23’ x 23 ‘. Best, Brian
Pleased with my simple minimalist set up. Small kids meant I had to fit grills to my kef LS50 speakers
Nice - wouldn’t putting boxing gloves permanently on the kids be cheaper and do the same job though?
Kef blade 1s
Hegel h590
Intel nuc 10th gen i7 now in akasa fanless case
Kimber bi focal xl speaker cables
Teddy Pardo teddy nuc power supply
English electric 8s switch
Curious evolved usb from nuc to Hegel
Chord c stream Ethernet from switch to nuc
Dual M&k mx200 subs kimber kable power cords
To Hegel and teddy pardo
Sonos port with kimber silver coax cable to Hegel
On separate switch than English electric 8s
Technics sl1210 Mkii turntable
Furman power conditioner elite 15 dm
Dedicated 20 amp lines running whole system
Potentially, but I’m guessing they’ll spend all their time using those gloves on me! Grilles we’re only £6 so a cheap investment!
They look good too
Absolutely nothing wrong (and everything right) with a minimalist setup. Of course a pair of KEF LS 50 Wireless would be even more (less?) minimalist
How did you go !?
Hi Frans
Congrats with your setup.
I must say that I haven’t cared much about MQA. A few years ago I was interested in a Meridian head phone amplifier with MQA, but then I stepped up and bought the Hugo2, and never looked back…
I bought the Innous the get rid of a thousand cd’s, and to have an easy setup, that both my better non-tech girlfriend and I myself could easily manage every day.
I’ve allways used the Innuos as a Roon Core - I find it very convenient and a lot of the use of it is to play ‘lofi’ streaming radio - and it just sounds fantastic (I think it’s the Hugo2, the 2x450W from the MF, and the Dynaudios in combination).
But when I really need to relax I use the Audeze with hi-res from Qobuz (haven’t used Tidal for several months, will cancel it and probably miss the video section) - the 192 kHz music files sounds absolutely avesome. E.g. try listening to ‘Breathe’ by Dr. Lonnie Smith
So sorry about not being able to give you better info about the MQA, but I’m not a sound engineer, but I never understood how this technology can improve the sound without adding more bits.
Good luck with your setup and your listening🙂
Regards, Claus
Hi Claus,
Thanks for your response.
I will experiment a bit to find the optimum settings.
Funny to see we also have similar taste in headphones
Hifi greetings

Enjoying your Lonnie Smith tip!
