[Solved] Build 1541 not successfully adding new albums/tracks

Added some new albums as always and it got stuck on adding but never advancing. Installed production build and it finished adding all the music. Went back to ea 1541, added some more music and got stuck again. Restarted a couple of times with no success. Went back to production b1538 again (which is great for me, by the way) and continued to add music with no issues. Using ROCK with Local music. Huge custom albums (most are).

Hi, @Carlos_Osornio, thank you for your post. Could you please specify which content you are seeing this issue with? Streaming service or local? What is the error state? Could you please share a video illustrating the issue.

Hi @Ivan. Content is local music. I do this almost every day, so immediately identified the problem related to the newest 1541 build. As you asked, just reinstalled this ea build and added some local files to my current network folder. Went to settings >storage > force rescan. Soon after that the moving circle keeps moving forever but there is no advance adding nor identifying anything:

I can restart the ROCK server and will get stuck again (It has three hours now with no advance). Settings >Library will show no activity:

Now it’s time to reinstall with production build; after a couple of minutes I see activity and it is completing the task.
I added a 15K track album yesterday and Roon processed it successfully during the night. I removed the folder, rescanned and cleaned the database. Installed ea b1541 again to do the test. I dropped the same 15K-track folder and forced scan. After a while I saw no activity. So I removed the folder again and copied only part of it (25%). Restarted Roon and after a while I saw it was working. Finally it completed the task, so I copied another part of the folder, forced rescan and did this 4 times until it successfully finished. My conclusion after all these tests: I can throw any album size to production build 1538 and will process it. If I use b1541, big folders cause it to get stuck.

By any chance, in the top right corner of the Roon app window, did you have a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it?

I was too fast to claim success. At the end it got stuck with 104 tracks, doing nothing again. No red triangle, internet working fine. Reboot didn’t fix it, With all these tests, I really don’t remember if I had to reinstall production build to finish. I am in earlyaccess right now.

Added 3 new folders. Small (116, 164 and 488 tracks respectively). Activity circle is spinning but no advance. I’m on ea b1541:

Restarting server as -another- test… After a while, not advancing: Scanned 2 and stopped:

Reinstalling production build.

Now it is advancing with the scan, fast:

Completed the analysis. No more tests for now; sticking with production build until you release a fix…

Build 1544 works great, very fast! Problem solved.
