Now that I have multiple versions/editions of many albums, I thought it would be nice to be able to a/b compare songs. But flipping back and forth quickly isn’t great. I guess using the play queue and going back is one way.
But wouldn’t it be cool to have a window that is split A/B and have a level adjust on each so that people could level adjust the playback and then be able to compare two recordings side by side. To be really fancy maybe the software can try to line up the tracks to play them exactly in sync if for some reason the start points are offset. The key would be that Roon is playing both tracks at the same time and the user can click on the track to be output and can go back and forth as they please during this comparison mode.
