Hi all, I´m new to the community, but have been using Roon for about a year and are mostly very satisfied. However, I really miss the possibility of sorting albums within a tag the same way as you can sort Albums in My Library (By Artist, Most Played, Date Added, Date or Album title). Anyone knows if this is a feature Roon is considering to add?
Most probably, I do not understand your question, but if you Focus first on your tag, all sorting methods of Albums remain applicable
If you go to My Library > Tags and select a tag, I don’t think there are search options there. I agree there should be some, but in the meantime @Dirk_De_Taey‘s approach is probably the best one.
This and customizable tag art (e.g. for box sets) would be very nice.
If you go to Feature Suggestions and search for, e.g., tags you will probably find existing requests and add your vote
It’s already there but a click away
Go to a Tag open it
You will see View All , click it
Then View All Albums
This is now a Focus selection , you can now select Sort By
Is that what you want ?
Yes, that is of course a way to do it, but then you have to do it from the My Albums menu. I have sorted all my tags under bookmarks and was thinking that it would be nice to have the same sorting menu in each tag “folder”.
You can create tags from any “object” eg Artists, it will work as long as your Tag is a collection of Albums.
The sort order is object specific (if that makes sense)
I must admit that I (almost) never use the Tag browser in the menu at the left.
I have made a tag ‘Nederlandstalig’ (Dutch)
I also made a bookmark ‘Nederlandstalig’ that selects all tagged Albums.
I select my Bookmark directly from whatever page I’m on, e.g. Home screen.
This is a very good idea. But the problem with this method is if one has a large collection and (or) with a lot of box sets within. My tag browser on the right side is getting longer and longer and it is getting heavy to find things fast and easily.
I hope, no I think, that the Roon staff is aware of it and we will get some enhancement, maybe related to the box set topic.
