I have been unsuccessful in trying to sort the entries in my playlist.
There is no problem adding tracks to a playlist, but each go to the bottom of the list.
I would like to move the order that the these tracks play.in the order that
at I find in chronological or in favourite order.
Can you elucidate how I accomplish this via the ROON interface?

Click and hold the “hamburger” ☰ and simply drag the track to the desired position in the play list.
On the right hand side of the playlists window there’s a down arrow, click that and select date added. Then you can sort by date. Is that what you wanted?
edit- never mind, by date added they mean when it was added to your library, not the playlist.
