Starting with Zero 2 W. Wifi connection issue

Hello, just received the Rpi Zero 2 W and waiting for a Miniboss board.

Meanwhile I am trying to configure Ropieee, but wihtout success until now.

I wait until the OS enters in AP mode. I can connect with my iPhone.
Browsing to 192.168.250.1 appears the web server, and show the nearby WiFi’s.
After introducing the password it restarts again. But never gets connected to the network.

I have tried to use my iPhone AP mode. Then Ropieee had no problems to connect and continue installation.

But I think that maybe there is a problem with my WiFi’s home password: it has “&” and “@” characters, could be?

I have reflashed the SD card with Raspberry Pi Imager, and configuring the SSID and password (with “&” and “@”, obviously), and when booting with this, it connects flawlessly.

So I can say that the Rpi is working well and it is capable to connect to my network.

Returning to Ropiee, the same, not work.

So I think that something about password is the issue.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Last update.

Something strange…

After ton of retries without success, I had connected an external TP-Link usb antenna and rebooted the rpi.

The surprise has been that without configuring anything else new, it has connect to the network at first try.
I entered the ropieee.local frontend and just checked that it was using the internal WiFi adaptor, not the TP-Link. I didn’t believe it.
Removed the usb antenna and rebooted.

Since then, all the times that I reset it connects fine to the WiFi.

So, problem solved, but it’s so strange.

If anyone has something to say, let’s go!

Thanks again

Can you send me feedback?
You can find that option on the ‘advanced’ tab.

Thanks

Sorry, which option?
