Apparently his corpse went on a rant yesterday about the a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Must of really stunk up the place.

Now we’ll never find out what the Pompatus of Love is !
Space cowboy, Maurice, pompetouse of love etc were names he was called or proposed for band names in his early days. They made it into the song which now makes sense.
Somthing along those lines anyway. I heard him talk about it on the radio. Chris
