Apple seems to get slower and slower at making the latest updates available…
What do you mean? I am Apple and utilize Roon and ARC daily… even with AppleCarPlay.
The same with Android.
I’m still unable to update Remotes to version 2.64 (build 1646) Production.
The update is not available in Google Play.
I am specifically referring to the latest update…
Yep, still no iOS update. ![]()
I’m beginning to wonder if there was an update for iOS and Android remotes.
Despite saying updates were submitted to the App stores, there is no mention of new version numbers like there is in previous releases.
However, the Current Production Versions post, it does show a new version number for iOS and Android.
@vova , could you please confirm whether or not there is a new update for iOS and Android?
I’m waiting to update until I know that I will be running the most current versions of Roonserver and iOS remote.
On Android, you could download the APK from Roon’s download page and install it. Would be interesting if this is 1646.
Edit: Oh I guess you are on iOS too. Someone with Android could
I’ve installed the APK on Android and can confirm that it’s build 1641 and not 1646. I’m suspecting that the regular Roon app hasn’t been updated.
Thank you for checking. ![]()
update finally arrived….well….for Roon IOS, not Arc
Thanks for posting that.
Of course, it would have been nice if Roon had posted in this thread since it explicitly pertains to whether or not there is an iOS/Android update (and I specifically flagged Vova at Roon). ![]()
I have 1.75 (build 399) in the App Store (Germany), which is the new one according to Roon 2.64 and ARC 1.75 are Live!
Yup same here. Looks like all updated now. Strange that it took a number of days to get into the App Store. Anyway, all good!
Yes. I can do it for iOS too.
The slowness might be due to this:
Vibe coding significantly boosted App Store review submissions in 2025
Everyone wants to make apps now because AI has made it so easy. But AI-generated coding is not always clean and can cause issues. I’m sure Apple is being very careful in its review process which is causing a logjam with approvals.
ARC 1.75 only today (April 12) shows on the Google Play store, hence 10 days after the alleged submission by Roon to Google. While I understand that releasing any new ARC version by Google is always held up due to testing for Android Auto compatibility to ensure flawless operation, 10 days seems very long, also in comparison to the iOS App Store, where ARC now typically takes 3-4 days to be released. It would be great if someone from Roon could take the issue up with Google to shorten release delays.
