I am at a loss how to add the popular SWR Kultur (former SWR2) radio to Roon.
It does not show up in the search (even with 500km radius) but SWR4 does show up.
The link named by SWR 256k MP3 is also not working (with or without .mp3 extension). The error says “Roon could not find a radio station at this URL”.
I cannot imagine this radio station is missing. So what am I doing wrong?
Everything else is impressive and working fully integrated over all devices in minutes. Now checking how well Roon is organizing my 16k tracks on a NAS and combining them with Qobuz.
Both stations show in the search results as having been added to Roon’s Live Radio directory already (you have to scroll down in the search results to see the Live Radio section)…
SWR 2 was renamed to SWR Kultur a few years ago. So they are the same.
BUT if I search for SWR in Live Radio , there is only one hit for SWR4. In category Local stations (500km range which is plenty). No hit in Popular stations.
After some digging, I found SWR2 in categories News & Classical.
The official name is SWR Kultur
The former name for Decades was SWR 2
So many people are looking or Searching for that.
That’s maybe an explanation for both entries
Yes keeping it as an “alias” might be a good idea.
Still there is the odd finding that it does not show up in the Live Radio search (even with 500km distance) but only in the global search top right corner.
Maybe someone checks the distance entered for this station? It should be identical to SWR4 (which is found in Live Radio).
