Synology DS923+ RoonServer unable to start mpa files

Hi Guys,
New Roon user and have installed RoonServer onto a Synology DS923+ NAS. RoonServer has sucessfully imported all of the music libraies however fails to start a song. I’ve tried on a Windows PC and iphone however no luck.

Server log file after starting the song. No errors found in RoonServer_log.txt

I think you’ll need to convert mpa files into a format that Roon supports…

This might be a typo

The log.txt shows the song as AAC.

I agree in regards to converting to another codec.

Coverted file to wav format however still unable to play track.

What are you using to convert? The log file still shows an AAC encoding. And my personal preference would be to use FLAC…

You need to install ffmpeg.

I had downloaded and installed to the RoonServer bin directory however. I missed off addeding it to the path. Once added to the path Roon was able to play tracks.
