T+A is coming with the 3rd generation streaming module G3.
This module can also be fitted in existing streamers like my MP2500R.
DSD files will be able to be streamed directly through this streaming client.
Will my MP2500R benefit with this new module? Any news is welcome.

I have the DAC and AMP 200. I am waiting to get the MP 200 until the new streaming board is available which T+A said would be released late this year or early next year.
On a German website Hifiregler.de they announce the new R2500R, with G3 streamingboard, end of September. Hopefully we can see a review in the very near future.
T+A also announced new speakers but no news yet.
Finally a year later the R2500R is here and the G3 streaming architecture is Roon ready. Now it is waiting when we can upgrade from G2 to G3.
On the website of Hifiregler dot de de upgrade to MP-G3 is announced for 600Euro.
hi Everyone. I know this thread is a bit old, but still think it is a great one to place my question.
Im trying to understand better what exactly is new/better with G3, specially now thathe MP200 with G3 has been announced.
I currently have the DAC200 + MP200 comb. I use it exclusively as a Roon end point connected to the MP200 ethernet. MP200 feeds the DAC200 with a USB cable.
There is a lot of info out there saying how great the DAC200 is when you feed it DSD using something like HQ Player. But this is an avenue I dont want to pursue. I like the simplicity of streaming. When I m in the mood for something a little more time comsuming, I just spin SACDs or LPs.
Under this arrangement, are there any advantages in sound quality with G3 over what I have now?
G3 will be available soon in the future to upgrade my MP200. I read the following for G3 “ DSD files will be able to be streamed directly through this streaming client”. does that mean if Tidal or Qobuz start offering DSD streaming I will be able to take advantage of that without messing with dsdfile+hqplayer?
Just rying to understnd really wht G3 is bringing to the table.
Thanks in advance.
