When I was playing around with different cores in my network, Roon ARC on my smart phone was disconnected/logged out from the server unintentionally. The result: after logging back in all the downloaded files were gone from my phone.
It took me hours to select everything again and to download it to the phone.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could attach tags in ARC. For example: it would be so great if I could select all the downloaded files in ARC a tag them with one click “ARC download” for example.
And should I ever be in the situation again of having to download the files again, or for example to download the same selection of files to another ARC device, I wouldn’t have to go through the process of selecting everything manually again and probably forgetting half of the items.
This would also hugely enhance the experience of switching mobile device every couple of years.
Any ideas/workarounds for this scenario?

But you can add tags today in Roon ARC.
Or are you thinking about something else?
You can tag a specific album. I want to tag a whole batch of album simultaneously with one click so dont have to do that with every single album.
I mean seriously: is it not possible to (for expample) switch to a new phone without having to manually select and download every album again?
You can do this today, download albums in one go.
Go to ARC, Albums - filter on a tag, hit the three dots and download all.

You asked if you could have an easier way to download albums in one go - for example when you change phone (or you loose all albums because of a bug)
If you tag albums you want to download with the tag «download» - then next time you want to download albums to a new phone you can just filter albums on that tag and download everything with one click.
I did not. I asked how I could tag all of my downloaded files at once, so that I can download that particular batch later again, for example after switching to another phone.
That requires tagging the already downloaded files! That was the question. The rest was an example.
