Just came across a DVD called the making of Darkside of the Moon. It was in with non-musical DVDs and I did nor recall buying it. Shall watch this evening
My memory says that the two different SACD I have are not really that great but the mofi CD trounces both of them.
But none come close to the UHQR or 79 mofi vinyl.
Yes, but admittedly, you say that solely because I do not have either. Just cruel and unusual.
Pink Floyd would not have been able to perform at Woodstock, but that Festival redirected a lot of rock. Santana, Ten Years After and Hendrix were epic as we increasingly moved away from soft rock.
I listened to “Us and Them” 3 times today - its a thing of beauty - I only have the 192/24 50th anniversary mix
In a recent poll, David Gilmour was ranked as the best Strat player ahead of Hendrix and Clapton. In a somewhat related video, they discussed how Pink Floyd emerged at a time when rock music had become increasingly boring in the mid-60s. The history of Pink Floyd and how American Blues influenced Syd Barrett, but love him or not, Roger Waters as a lyricist was something for which the world was waiting. We had hard rock (the beginning of Metal) emerging with Zeppelin etc, but lyric oriented music like Us And Them were needed by youth finding their own identity.
I Inherited two 1973 Quadrophonic copies, but I prefer the 2016 Re-mastered version.
Can you send a shot of the Quadrophonic recording and a shot of the 2016. Frankly, I get lost in what I have. Thanks in advance
Unfortunately all of my vinyl is packed in crates right now awaiting a future house move, so unless I spend some considerable time wading through my crates, the answer will have to be no.
And then there’s these

OK, I did not explain that well: Please open all crates, photo contents, edit the photos for clarity, and post here before noon EST.
Seriously, I do understand. My LPs were in a room that I have not used for decades so I am re-discovering them.
Based upon the discogs listing, one gets the idea that this album may have had some popularity.
I have something similar. My youngest sister bought it for me many years ago.
I will add that I have a 1973 vinyl second press (U.K) complete with posters, etc. I also have a later repress ( with barcode). This came from my Mum’s vinyl after she passed. No, she wasn’t a hippy, she was actually influenced by her eldest son’s taste in music
I hae no idea:
I have Endless River on CD. My wife bought it as a birthday gift. Played, probably once. I feel guilty now
While my 1971 copy of DSOM is long gone I still have the “Pyramids” poster framed and hanging on my wall…
