The Lyrics Game

As we are all into music, and some of us might like a challenge every now an then, here’s a new idea for a game:

A community user posts 2 lines from the lyrics of a song, without mentioning the song or artist

  • Preferably not from the chorus as that might be too easy.
  • These can be your favourite lines, lines that grabbed your attention, something your think is funny…
  • The lyrics can be in any language, but every 3rd set of lines (or less) should be English to give everyone in the community a chance to stay involved
  • The lyrics should be verifiable in Roon

First user to correctly guess the title of the song from which the lyrics come can post 2 new lines from a song of their choosing.

  • A correct answer must be confirmed by the user who posted the lyrics
  • Considering the existence of covers, only the title is required, but mentioning the artist is appreciated

If nobody is able to correctly guess it within 24 hours, the user who posted the lyrics provides the answer and posts a new challenge.

I’ll get us started. I just heard this while listening to some music, and though it quite funny considering the many discussions I’m seeing:

I’m now heading to Georgia. Taking the train for a change. Who would have expected that it was so busy on the platform at midnight. I saw Gladys Knight & The Pips, Neil Diamond. I must have been really tired with my eyes fooling because I think I even saw the Queen of Soul herself.

I’ll close my eyes and try to catch some sleep.
