The UK singles chart is 70. Is it time for it to retire?

In a way no, it was a big part of my childhood. More so watching TOTP. Something I’d have liked my kids to have experienced.

My kids have Kids Spotify and my eldest also has Tidal :innocent:.

With music being on tap through streaming services, I’d say yes as in someways it’s meaningless. It was for new music and now any song from any decade could be in the top 10. Not a bad thing either though as some will then experience great music.

I’m just reminiscing on my childhood too much.

I will however take my daughters out to buy some physical music, and I’m sure my Cyrus CD player is still safely stored away in the loft.

The only playlists I miss from spotify now are the top 50 (usa/world/whatever) playlists.

I like them, but I continue to learn how odd I am.
