Thunderbolt 3 or 4

Looking at a QNAP for media storage. Getting one with Thunderbolt 4 is nearly $1000 more than with a Thunderbolt 3. Is it worth it?

Since bandwidth didn’t change between 3 and 4 (it’s still 40Gbps), I don’t see any advantage of 4 for media storage.
