A while later, it managed the cloud connection but still no server
Is this with IPv6 enabled everywhere?
It’s with the same settings as I always had and returned to at the end of yesterday evening. (And before that, trying to turn off IPv6 on the router didn’t help at all).
Is it possible in your router to restart the internet connection (without rebooting the router) including the IPv6 setup? I know is sounds like a stupid advise but on the moment I renewed the internet connection last Friday in my router the ARC connection came back immediately. I didn’t pay much attention to this because I tought that Roon team had changed something in my profile. But it is also possible that I solved the issue myself by renewing the internet connection.
IPv6 is enabled everywhere in my network and Roon ARC is, since last Friday, working without any problems. (As I wrote earlier, I am on the EA branche.)
It is, but will have to wait until I am home. Good point and I’ll try. (Though as mentioned, ARC can just use my static IPv4 address
)
That’s with my ARC also. My mobile phone provider delivers IPv4 connections only.
I did a “reconnect” on the router now, to renew the internet connection without restarting the router, but didn’t change anything for ARC connectivity. I get this now (but did already before I reconnected the router):
And the settings are still OK, of course:
I’m very sorry that ARC still isn’t working for you. It’s also a shame that my (sometimes strange
) suggestions haven’t had a positive effect. ![]()
For the past few weeks, I’ve had exactly the same problems with ARC as you are now. I have no idea what caused ARC to suddenly start working again.
By the way, have you tried disabling the ARC port (and/or all open ports) on your router as a test? When I did that, I still got (very strangely) Ready in the ARC test in Roon Remote.
I also saw a global IPv6 address then, just like you do now. Since ARC started working again for me, the ARC test has been showing the (shorter) local-link IPv6 address of the server.
Not yet
Interesting. No idea if it changed recently for me.
Maybe someone from Roon can take a look, testing is only useful if someone investigates the resulting issues.
Let me know if you need me to try things.

Got same issue when I updated my roon server to 2.55 Build 1560.
Could fix by downgrading to 2.54 Build 1554.
I had it with 1553 already, though, which is also Early Access (while 1554 is Production). May be a hint that the IPv6 test changes for Early Access users are in play (as kind of expected). Thanks!
Roon ARC no longer works for me over cellular. Roon broke it, Roon needs to fix it. I will use Quboz and Tidal apps until/unless they do.
Hope you’re keeping well @Jim_F
Are you on EA?
The latest production build is working really well for me ![]()
Thanks. I’m on Early Access.
Add me to the list for ARC broken on Build 1560 EA.
I have double checked the port forward rule.
No issue with IPV6 until this build.
Um, I’m on build 1560 EA on my ROCK/NUC, with Build 100369 on Roon ARC (is that EA or Production? I don’t know any more).
Works fine here…
It seems to depend on IPv6 specific stuff - that’s what we are testing, I believe. (And yes 1560 is EA)
IPv6 could be the issue - I’m not using IPv6 in my home network.
