[Ticket In] B377 ARC download tracks missing in offline mode until revisited while online

I don’t know if that’s a new thing, but most of my older downloads don’t show tracks in offline mode

until I revisit each specific album while being online

and after this they show and play in offline mode, too

This affects both smart downloads and manual ones

For me it’s working ok in offline mode.

Do you have old-ish downloads and did you check them all?

Good question. I realize that I have reinstalled ARC. So probably that’s why it’s working ok for me.

That’s not the expected behavior, and downloaded content should be fully available offline without needing to revisit each album online first.

A couple of quick questions to help us narrow this down:

  • Are all older downloads affected, or only certain albums?
  • Does the issue persist after restarting ARC?

If possible, please share one or two album examples where this happens.
We’ll investigate further.

I don’t know. When I look at the list now, in its current state, some older downloads are affected and some aren’t.

However, although I had to reinstall ARC too many times in the past, I didn’t have to for several months.

Therefore, for many of the downloads that were created since then I am sure that I loaded the album at least once in these recent months, but for others I didn’t.

(This is further confused by the testing I have done for issues like the missing albums covers when offline, meaning that I probably visited some albums to make them cache covers, even if I didn’t listen to them).

Yes. Only visiting the album while being online seems to fix it

On a plane. ARC updated before I left but I didn’t open it. No Internet on the plane. ARC just freezes and crashes. Won’t respond and, of course, can’t access my downloads at all.

But thought I’d mention as seems to be a “phone home required” issue with this new version. Yeah, not exact to what you describe

We were able to reproduce this issue on our side. Once you have access to an internet connection again, ARC should start working normally and the problem will be resolved.
