I'm having persistent issues with Tidal integration on my ROCK-based Roon Core. Albums I favorite from within Roon (via Tidal) show up briefly (or not at all) and then disappear. Albums I save directly in the Tidal app also don’t consistently appear in Roon.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
1. Signed out and back into Tidal from **Settings > Services** 2. Selected **"Sync Now"** and waited several minutes 3. Cleared the `Cache` and `TIDAL` folders via the SMB share on my ROCK 4. Restarted the Core from the ROCK web interface 5. Created a new Roon profile to test if the issue was profile-specific — no change 6. Verified that my ROCK and remotes are all fully up to date 7. Attempted album additions from both Roon and the native Tidal app — still disappearing
At this point, Tidal sync is clearly failing at the Core level, and the behavior persists even with a fresh profile and cleared cache.
Thanks in advance, Cyrus
Describe your network setup
I have a fiber network direct to my home and use a google mesh router. My Roon Core (on an intel nuc) is connected (hardwired) to one of the mesh core - the one that is directly connected to the fiber connection. I have never had an issue with connectivity.
Known issue. There is a fix in Early Access testing but it doesn’t seem to be working (or not completely). The ticket tracking thread (where Roon will also post announcements) is here:
Does the Tidal subscriber plan make any difference? I’m on the individual plan, not sure what others are on, but I am definitely experiencing the same problem as others have described.
3 months later and it’s getting worse…again 4 photos, first 2 My Mix in Roon, 3rd and 4th photos are from My Mix in Tidal, compare these with previously posted photos, content of the My Mix in Roon has been the same for months!!
Over here, the early access version didnt solve my issue neither. I can add a whole album (using Tidal), but one song stopped working a week or two ago.
I also add my voice to the chorus of users who installed the early access build, but it is not fixing the problem. I did what one user suggested above - I added a new album on Tidal and then manually re-synched Tiday in Roon, and the new album and a few other Tidal songs did populate in Roon, but the vast majority of my Tidal music still is absent. Several thousand songs remain missing.
La última actualización de Roon resuelve en mi caso el problema de la sincronización de las bibliotecas (Roon ↔ Tidal). Nunca es tarde si la dicha es buena.
The latest update of Roon solves in my case the problem of synchronization of libraries (Roon ↔ Tidal). It is never too late if the happiness is good.
Just adding in that the official release of the latest build still hasn’t fixed the issue for me. Individual tracks from Tidal are not being added to my library.
I’ve just updated Roon, and still having the same issues. Can’t delete songs, they come back to the playlist after a while. The Improve button make a mess, duplicating songs in the playlist. Please hire some good QA, its been 3 months… my goodness.
THis is a video of what is happening:
Thanks for the update 1.544, fix for Tidal playlists. Just flipped through and it looks good, will listen tomorrow. Team Roon thanks for the hard work!!
