Tidal claim that “HiFi” quality playback (by which they appear to mean the highest resolution form of playback) is only available through Google Chrome. So I’m wondering whether Roon is capable of “HiFi” quality playback on Tidal or only “High” quality playback?
Google Chrome is the only browser that works with Tidal “HiFi” quality playback, but their apps for different operating systems can also play the “HiFi” stream, same goes for Roon, Meridian, I’m sure several others.

Roon always plays the highest-quality stream that your TIDAL account is allowed to access.
You can tell by looking at the little light above the progress bar. Click on it and it’ll tell you the quality.
