I wonder if allmusic could revive tradition(al)? And let it begin with time (and not in the 19th century)?

The formed / disbanded dates are gone - which is good. Before I check the solution mark one more question: where do the period assignments for Traditional come from? Currently, it shows Renaissance and Modern for me - shouldn’t that change too? Maybe by getting the periods from the associated compositions in the library?

That’s what still bothers me (and my guess is it doesn’t come from the Metadata provider):

BTW, if it’s more than one, wouldn’t that be periods? If it’s to much effort to implement a singular / plural logic, maybe period(s) looks better?

Apologies for the delay here! I had a chat with the team today and wanted to follow up with you regarding this.

There is a little more that goes into where these periods come from than some of the other metadata, like the dates that were removed. The team is going to take a closer look into this. I’ll be sure to update you when more information is available.

Thanks for the feedback. The “most right thing” from my p.o.v. would be to not assign periods to this kind of “eternal non-persons”. Or just let the user assign and remove periods themselves.
