I wonder if allmusic could revive tradition(al)? And let it begin with time (and not in the 19th century)?

Thanks for the report, @anon47919701!
I reached out to our metadata provider and requested they make a change here. Iāll keep you updated once we hear from them.
Thanks,
Dylan
Hey @anon47919701,
Our metadata provider has let us know that they have corrected this today. Please give this about a week to be reflected within Roon. Once you see the change on your end please mark this post as the solution.
Thanks again for your report!

The formed / disbanded dates are gone - which is good. Before I check the solution mark one more question: where do the period
assignments for Traditional come from? Currently, it shows Renaissance
and Modern
for me - shouldnāt that change too? Maybe by getting the periods from the associated compositions in the library?
Update
@dylan Should that be a new āticketā so the original one can be set to solved?
Thatās what still bothers me (and my guess is it doesnāt come from the Metadata provider):
BTW, if itās more than one, wouldnāt that be periods? If itās to much effort to implement a singular / plural logic, maybe period(s) looks better?
Hey @anon47919701,
Apologies for the delay here! I had a chat with the team today and wanted to follow up with you regarding this.
There is a little more that goes into where these periods come from than some of the other metadata, like the dates that were removed. The team is going to take a closer look into this. Iāll be sure to update you when more information is available.
Thanks!
Dylan
Thanks for the feedback. The āmost right thingā from my p.o.v. would be to not assign periods to this kind of āeternal non-personsā. Or just let the user assign and remove periods themselves.
