Trouble with Roon finding Gold Note DS 10

The Roon app is not finding the Gold Note DS 10. I have entered the IP address and it still does not show up.

What am I missing?

Hello @William_Pringle and welcome to the forum.

It looks to me like the DS10 is a Roon Ready audio endpoint, means you can play music from your Roon system to it. It is not a Roon Core though. You need to install and configure a Core (the heart of your Roon system) first before you can use the Roon app, connected to your Core, to play music to the DS10.

So despite it being “Roon Ready” it will still need some kind of computer, NUC, streamer or something to run off of. My iPad will not work for this?

I’m curious how you’re even launching Roon w/o a core. I wouldn’t think the iPad app on its own would show anything, even a place to enter an IP address for the DS 10, w/o a core on the same network.

I have. DS-10 as well, and love it. could you share a few screen shots? is it possible you’re entering the DS-10’s IP address in the “connect to core” field?
