Troubleshooting internet connection and TP-Link setup in bridge mode with single NAT (ref#CTFVNY)

Network Setup

· I use multiple routers, none of which are provided by my ISP

ARC Status

· ARC is *Not Ready*

Roon Error Code

· “natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”}, “upnp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”} }

Have you successfully located and enabled the UPnP or NAT-PMP settings in your router's web UI?

· I've turned UPnP/ NAT-PMP on and ARC won't connect

Describe the issue

My internet went down and since I can't figure out how to setup my network with my TP-Link in bridge mode and single NAT. I'm not sure if the NAT is still my problem.

Describe your network setup

Using a TP-Link AR400 as a modem (not in bridge mode), connected to an ASUS RT-AX86U. On NOWTV

I have set up port forward from the TP-Link to the ASUS using the WAN IP, using the port shown in ARC settings.

I tried various port forwards from my ASUS to my core, but to no avail. My diagnostic data is as follows:

{
"ipv4_connectivity": {"status":"NetworkError","status_code":504,"error":"error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined"},
"external_ip": {"actual_external_ip":"151.ggg.hhh.ggg","actual_external_ipv6":"null","router_external_ip":"null"},
"natpmp_autoconfig": {"status":"NotFound"},
"upnp_autoconfig": {"status":"NotFound"}
}

Hi @oliverunder,
Thanks for writing in to let us know about this issue. Have you tried the steps in this article? https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/arc-port-forwarding#Troubleshooting_Automatic_Configuration If not please start with that. If you’ve worked through these steps already let us know and we will activate diagnostics on your account to look into this further.

Yes I have worked over such steps and more.

Thanks

Hi @oliverunder,

Have you tested setting the modem to bridge mode? Are you running any VPNs or anti-virus software?

I’d also test out using a different port number as well.

Did you have both enabled? In this case, it may make sense to test out turning off UPnP and setting up a manual port forwarding rule. Be sure to navigate to your Roon Settings>Roon Arc and write down your server IP as well as port number. These will be the numbers you add to your manual port forwarding rule.

We’ll be on standby for your reply! :pray:
