I have the Roon app pinned on the tablet and use that on the tablet directly.
For showing the artwork for music played via Roon, RoPieee can be used:
The Roon zone for which the artwork is shown can be selected freely. This means that it is not necessary to use the RoonBridge function of RoPiee. The music can be played via another Roon endpoint that might have no screen.
I wanted to let you all know that as of today, Tuneshine now officially supports Roon. It’s the first cloud-free integration I’ve built in to the device. It shows up as a Roon extension and you can select which zones you’d like to connect to in the Tuneshine app. More info here: Tuneshine for Roon – Album Art Display for Roon
I’ve been using it all day and it works great on both of my Tuneshines! Last.fm was a good workaround, but native support is working even better.
The only thing I had to change is that my Tuneshines were on a separate wi-fi network from my Roon core, but that was easy enough to change.

Fantastic! So glad to hear it’s working well.
Excellent that this is finally public. Great work!
Thank you Paul, and thank you so much with your help beta testing!
Just ordered one, @TobiasFromTuneshine!
