I’m having the same zone not found error.
Everything except the display works - I’m connected over wifi, and Roon sees my device and I can play music to it. So it isn’t a problem of the DAC or the zone name not being defined in Roon.
I’ve also stopped and rebooted both my Roon Core server and my Pi multiple times.

Is the solution the same SSH changes mentioned above?

I also can’t seem to SSH in: the user name is admin, what’s the password?

user is root and password is root

you need to install the display before installing ropieee as the installer looks for it to install the supported binaries. If you dont see the display tab in the ropieee GUI then you need to refresh the SD again and reinstall it

the names need to be the same for the display zone and in Roon endpoint name…exactly the same

No that’s not the fix. The fact that the screen shows ‘zone not found’ means that it actually detected the screen and installed it’s components.

It should work out of the box.

So:

  • have you enabled the extension in Roon?
  • is the zone name exactly the same as the zone name in Roon?
