Hi all,
I am wondering what creates a new entry in the “Recent Activity - Played” - section. For me new entries only appear after having hit the “Play Now” button explicitly. I do not get a new entry if I do a selection using “Add Next” for example. Is this the way how things are meant to be, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for letting me know.
It is the way things are meant to be. Roon is not alone in the field of music players to have this feature. It is considered a standard way for music collectors to find music in their collections that they have not “heard” before on that playback platform yet.
OK, alright. I do understand the basics. I would assume that everything I do play through ROON is noted in the “Recent Activity” section. But apparently I have to use the Play-All-Button in order to create an entry in this section. I wonder why it is like this. That does not feel “right”…
If you „Add Next“ and then actually let the queue play the added album, I think it should be added to recents. It does for me when I add albums to the queue and then play the queue.
Anything you choose to play regardless of how it’s added is logged in played after it’s played. Only exceptions I have found are stuff from Roon Radio. If you play now, play from here, add to queue add to playlist then when those are played it will be added to the played history.
