Ungrouping zones will not allow the original zone to be ungrouped.
For example, I’m in zone1 listening to music and then group zone2, so that zones 1 & 2 are playing the same music. Then after awhile, I want to be only be in zone2, and I would like to ungroup zone1.
In this scenario, the only available zone to ungroup is zone2, the one that I’m now in. I would have to ungroup zone2, and then transfer zone1 to zone2.
My feature request is to allow any zone to be ungrouped, and continue playing music in the remaining zones. My original idea about Roon was that its control resides on the server and that no zone was a master.
I can understand why Sonos has this “issue”; because each Sonos zone is a server, and at least one server must have control. However, in Roon each zone is just an endpoint, being controlled by the Roon server.
