Unicode support?

Hi all

Finally got my 7" display and connected it and loving it

one thing that i noticed, is there no unicode support? all my non English characters are just empty boxes?

That sounds like a regression, because in earlier versions this certainly works.
I need to look into this.

What kind of non-English characters are you specifically talking about?

its a multi lingual house hold so Japanese, Hebrew and occasional others

Hi @spockfish, i don’t use online streaming services…all local from my collection…im old

I can send you perhaps an example file (can cut a tiny sample so there is no copyright issues?)

Hi,

No that’s not necessary. If you send me some texts (album title, track titles etc.) I’ll take a test track and change the titles to test with.
